“Pinterest”Anyone?

I am now officially addicted! Pinterest.com is a great way for Blogger’s like me to get all of our creative juices flowing, find them, “pin them” and organize them on “Boards” Labeled By Category. For example I used “Fantabulous Craft Ideas” for a great collection of craft ideas.

Then, the BEST PART…you can “repin” what I have pinned and see other “pins” from other creative people and start your own collection of ideas, inspirations and interests, ie. “Pinterest”!

So Follow Me on “Pinterest” with the Follow Me Button on here! See all The fun things I have done for friends, family, clients and found from other fun creative people.

Then, be sure and click the follow button for my Blog for other inspirations for your own Pinterest Boards!

Here are a few things I’ve “Pinned”~

Back to School Blues? Need Tips For a Great Study Space for the Kids?

I have always had a routine for after school for my boys. A 30 minute break and then Hit The Books!

But let’s be honest…it’s not always that easy to get them settled and being productive.  So, over the years I have had to test and readjust how homework time or study time is done and where it is done.

My neighborhood has a garage sale days twice a year.  One year I was putting on my own and my next door neighbor was too. She had this children’s table for sale. It turned out it was a desk that her father had made her children and they had outgrown it.  The price was right and I painted it out a coordinating color and added chalkboard paint to the interior of the 2 facing opening flaps. Instant study space in the home office.

{Complete with mini baskets on each side to hold erasers, scissors,etc. for studying. Add rulers, notebook paper etc. to make it a one stop study spot!Also, note the clipboard that can make it easier to sit at any angle and do worksheets or study sheets.}

The top of the desk has a study owl for fun, jars for pencils, colored pencils and a mailbox for notes to Mom & Dad from school. The scrolled jar for pencils was a candle holder and the colored pencils is a pickle jar that my son had the great idea to put chalkboard paint on. The animal print runner is for me and I get away with it because it is animal print and not too girly..wink, wink!

This is my office MUST HAVE! I don’t have built-in’s, so I needed storage and DESPERATELY! I took a dresser and removed the mirror. This gives you tons of storage for all your office needs.  It holds the printer, office supplies, computer disks, etc. etc.

*Box filled with flash cards

*(Not the prettiest or most stylish, but get’s the job done.) A conversion chart that is easy to access if needed for homework or Mom’s and dad’s that have forgotten (Smile).

Mailing supplies, stationary and an electric sharpener for all those pencils.

Less clutter and more organization, leads to less procrastination and a less stressful homework hour. This will help kids get those great study habits they will always need and help Mom’s and Dad’s stay sane!

Happy Studying and As Always…

Happy Decorating!
